"A flute with no holes is not a flute; but a doughnut with no holes, is a Danish."
Ty Webb,
"Caddyshack"
What does the above mean? I have no idea ... but whenever you're about to make a big announcement in print, it's cool to have some sort of heartwarming quote as a lead.
And a big announcement I am about to make.
On Feb. 5, 2004, in the debut edition of Go&Do, I introduced my "Brandon's Ramblings" column by discussing Janet Jackson's Super Bowl "wardrobe malfunction," which had just happened the previous weekend, Super Bowl commercials and, of course, introduced this new magazine called Go&Do Downriver.
It was the first of 137 weeks worth of not only my opinions and thoughts, but two-and-a-half years worth of, what would eventually become, Go&Do Michigan.
And next week's Ramblings will be my last I am leaving Go&Do Michigan, and Heritage Newspapers, to pursue other ventures.
It has been an incredible pleasure to provide entertainment for you in the last couple years, and it is you, the readers, who have made the experience so gratifying for now, I'll leave it at that. But make sure to check out next week's farewell edition of Brandon's Ramblings for more as I say goodbye to the publication I've put my heart and soul into for the last few years. By then, I might have a better idea of the future of Go&Do, and will certainly share that information once I have it.
Thanks for reading, and we'll see you next week ... for the last time.

Ramble back at Nick.
