The Detroit Symphony Orchestra's World Music Series will make its debut in the 2006-07 season with five subscription concerts featuring African, Mexican, Chinese, Middle Eastern and Indian artists.

The shows include East Africa's Mombasa Party with the Royal Drummers of Burundi, Nov. 5; a Mexican holiday concert with Nati Cano and his band, Mariachi Los Camperos.
