Comic John DiResta, a former New York City police officer who's appeared in movies such as "Miss Congeniality" and "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days," will be in the spotlight at 9 p.m. Aug. 15 and 16.

Tickets for this special engagement are $15.

All Star Comedy Club, a new venue for laughs in the Downriver area, features comedians Wednesdays through Saturdays at Thunderbowl Lanes, 4200 Allen Road, Allen Park.
